Adam Azim vs Sergey Lipinets – fight preview, undercard and ring walks time

One of British boxing’s fastest rising stars, Adam Azim, will take on wily veteran Sergey Lipinets in a bout for the vacant IBO super-lightweight title on Saturday, February 1. The fight is scheduled to take place on Sky Sports and will be held in the OVO Arena in London.

Azim will be looking to make a statement against the former IBF super-lightweight champion – he has predicted that he will knock Lipinets out within the first six rounds of the contest.

In his last fight, Azim blasted Ohara Davies into retirement in an impressive display – his youthfulness was simply too much for his noticeably slower opponent.

Meanwhile, Lipinets was also victorious last time out, as he floored Robbie Davies Jr three times en route to a unanimous decision victory.

Lipinets is a fearful power puncher – Azim will need to remain switched on throughout the 12 rounds if he wants to avoid the canvas. Nevertheless, this is certainly a winnable bout for him – he just needs to avoid being drawn into a firefight.

When will the main event ring walks be?

The ring walks for Azim vs Lipinets are expected to take place at around 10pm, with the main card commencing at 7pm.

Who is on the undercard?

Elsewhere on the card, Barnsley’s Callum Simpson will face Elvis Ahorgah for the Commonwealth super-middleweight title in his second fight of 2025. His last fight, where he stopped Steed Woodall, took place just a couple of weeks ago.

Nevertheless, it is refreshing to see a fighter eager to get back into the ring so soon after his last bout – a stark contrast to those in elite circles over the past 30 years.

Additionally, British heavyweight Jeamie TKV will be looking to build off his impressive win over Frank Ignatius when he faces Michael Webster. Webster also has a point to prove, following a pair of defeats against Solomon Dacres.
